About the Event

The course dives into the journey children will travel through on a production and focuses on supporting chaperones and tutors through the challenges they will face.

During the day we will out line the crucial roles that professional chaperones and tutors undertake on that journey, and how forming part of an AD‘a team underpins safeguarding by understaning the produciton process.

Designed and delivered by those who work in the industry, this course understands the commitment to detail that is required when licensing children, and where chaperones and tutors are integral to ensuring safeguarding and regulatory compliance.

The course is aimed at: Chaperones and Tutors.

Course content:

  • Where risk is attached between casting brief to wrap.
  • What is a regulated activity.
  • The role of Professional Chaperones and Tutors.
  • The production process, who’s who, call sheets, schedules and DOODS.
  • The role of the DSL (Designated Safeguarding Lead), Safeguarding and the Ofcom code.
  • Types of child licences including International licences
  • Preparing for council spot checks.
  • Safeguarding, PENS & Scenarios
  • Parents, Loco Parentis, Chaperones and Tutors.
  • Time management in line with permitted hours.
  • Creating an audit trail to evidence your safeguarding and compliance.
  • Education, tutoring and aggregating tutor hours.
  • Working with Young People 16-18's.
  • Intimacy and close contact within scripts.
  • Working with agents and legalities around commission.
  • Scenario's and 2 group assessment papers.

*Certifications last for 3 years.

*Leaners will have access to our on-line forms and guides to use whilst at work.

*Accredited chaperones and tutors have access to join our ISCAT (Industry Standard Chaperones And Tutors) online national register and our private members support hub.
